FOUNDATIONAL TRUTHS FROM THE BIBLE
THE TRINITY
We believe in one God manifested in the persons of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as revealed in scripture; distinguishable yet indivisible and equal. The only way to salvation is found through Jesus Christ. In order to be saved you must receive Christ (John 14:6)
THE BIBLE
We believe in the accuracy of the infallible word of God. It is God's inspired word, our trustworthy authority for the Christian Faith
(2 Timothy 3:16; 2:15)
THE CHURCH
The church universal (all believers in covenant with Jesus), and local (individual congregations) consist of believers old and new, of all backgrounds, races, ethnicity, and walks of life. The church is God's chosen vehicle to establish his kingdom on the earth before he returns. It exists for people to come and be nurtured and equipped with the word of God. (Acts 2:47; 15:3)
JESUS CHRIST
Jesus is the central focus of our mission. He is 100% God and 100% man. He lived a sinless life, voluntarily laid his life down on the cross in our place, and rose from the grave in victory over sin, death and the enemy. He has all power and authority and will come back one day just as he said. We have received of his authority over all the power of the enemy so that we can live the victorious and abundant life he died to give us.
SPIRITUAL GIFTS
We believe that the all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today. They are a normal part of the life of each believer. Signs, wonders, and miracles that happen today testify to the truth of scripture.
WATER BAPTISM
We believe that water baptism is an external act that illustrates the spiritual truth that is our becoming the new creation by the redemptive power of Christ. It is commanded in scripture and serves as a public acknowledgement and identification with our Savior Jesus Christ.
HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is key to the activation of the gifts of the Spirit including miracles, healing, discernment, prophecy (to exhort, edify and comfort), and spiritual prayer language and other languages.
(See 1 Corinthains 12:7-11)
WOMEN IN MINISTRY
We believe in women in ministry in any area of the church. Whether you are a man or a woman - gender is not the determining factor in qualifying for church ministry in any capacity. Galatians 3:28 specifically states that we are all one in Christ without regard for ethnicity, social status or sex.
GIVING
We believe in the biblical practice of giving to support our local church with our tithes and offerings. The tithe, which means "a tenth" is not a mandate of law anymore, but establishes a starting point for our generosity to God. As New Testament disciples we are called to be generous. We are exhorted to sow from the seed God has given us to reap increase so that our generosity can increase. Supporting those who labor in the word is part of our mandate as the church of the living God, the pillar and support of truth ( See 1 Timothy 3:15)
